With the W 550, spray gun manufacturer WAGNER has brought a professional grade model onto the market for the home handyman. Its special features: with its low weight and ease of handling the W 550 has an integral fan in the unit for spraying the paint. Thus no air hose has to be connected and not so much energy is consumed as with an external compressor.
The fan generates a high volume of air at low pressure. This gives a minimum formation of mist. The three-way adjustable spray jet (round, wide or precise spot) strikes the surface being painted in a very targeted way. The masking of the adjacent areas is virtually unnecessary due to this.
Another advantage is the economical consumption of paint compared with paintbrush or even spray can, thanks to the precise dosing. The drying time is very short and in general the W 550 saves time. Whilst a home handyman with a paintbrush slaves away for around 70 minutes on a complete radiator, the WAGNER gun only needs 10 minutes for this.
The result is obvious: the brilliant gleaming surfaces (whether sprayed with paint, lacquer, varnish or wood preservatives) are hard wearing and only need to be re-treated after a much longer time than surfaces painted with a brush. The W 550 is also easy to clean – thanks to the Click & Paint system the paint reservoir together with the spraying attachment can be removed from the unit with a "twist".
Click & Paint System
In order always to achieve optimal results the Click& Paint system offers special attachments for different areas of application that can be changed quickly: the Perfect Spray 1400 spraying attachment for large objects (reservoir capacity: 1400 ml/), the Low Flow spraying attachment for intricate detailing work (reservoir capacity: 250 ml), the radiator detail spraying attachment for spots hard to reach such as heaters and cabinet corners (reservoir capacity: 800 ml) and the "Brilliant" spraying attachment for brilliant surfaces such as the varnishing of high-class furniture (reservoir capacity: 600 ml). The Click & Paint system thus immediately provides three benefits: the colour can be changed with a twist of the hand, cleaning becomes merely a child's play and the attachments available for different jobs can be quickly interchanged.
Some paint left over? For this there are accessories that can be used with the W 550: the paint containers with a lid available with 0.6 litres, 0.8 litres and 1.4 litres. The ready-to-spray paint can be sealed off and will be ready to use again on the next occasion. |
